Our Commitment to Quality
At SAB Motorcycle Storage Ltd, we use 1.5mm steel panels to construct our units. The sheets are CNC laser cut and folded into very strong panels. All edges are returned to provide strength and to make all joints secure from ingress from tools or water.
Doors are reinforced, all edges are returned and hinges are internal for extra security.
The support trolley is fabricated from 2.5mm sheet steel providing a central runway for the bikes front wheel.
The wheel clamp holds the front wheel so the bikes stands are not required.
The bike can be secured to the clamp by means of chain or U bolt.
The trolley is an integral part of the units construction and with the bike secured to it is impossible to remove.
Fittings.
All fittings used are again of the highest quality and have been chosen for there proven reliability in security industry uses.
The lock is a 6 lever 4 pin deadlock.
The cylinder is drill and pick proof and all the pins are made from hardened steel, all dead bolts are of similar construction.
Hinges are heavy duty with additional strengthening and are welded directly to the main frame.
Heavy duty fasteners are used throughout.
Finish on both exterior and trolley is a durable polyester powder coat.
Our Commitment to Design
The original Secure-a-Bike units were designed by Derek Hughes a successful engineer and sheet steel fabricator from Holmfirth in Yorkshire who saw the need for secure outside motorcycle parking in urban areas where space is limited. His design is both ergonomic easy to use and makes best use of limited space.
Dereks background includes design and manufacture of the accommodation block for the Artic survey teams.
Insurance
The units were awarded highest Thatcham approval ratings after rigorous testing and are recognised and recommended by most major motorcycle insurers who may offer discounted premiums.
